Contract Occupational Therapist for the 2023-2024 School Year

At ProCare, our mission is to encourage each child to confidently and proudly achieve his or her full potential. We are working with a school district in Redmond, WA that is looking to hire a contract occupational therapist for the remainder of the 2023-2024 school year with the opportunity to renew for the following school year.

With students’ needs becoming increasingly individualized, the demand for school professionals is at an all-time high. And the demands placed on school professionals are also greater than ever.

Caseload Details: 11 Week Contract

  • Full time: 37.5 hours per week
  • Monday - Friday
  • Hours: 7:30 - 3:30
  • Elementary caseload: PreK-5th grade
  • Mild/moderate caseload

Responsibilities: 

  • Collaborate with the OT to assess students' motor skills, sensory processing, and other areas related to occupational therapy.
  • Participate in the development of individualized plans based on assessment results.
  • Assist in implementing therapeutic activities and interventions to improve students' fine and gross motor skills, coordination, and sensory processing.
  • Work with students one-on-one or in small groups to address specific needs.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of students' progress, including assessment results, intervention plans, and session notes.
  • Communicate effectively with other members of the educational team regarding students' occupational therapy needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to integrate occupational therapy goals into the overall education plan.

Requirements:

  • Active Washington OT license 
  • Masters in Occupational Therapy
  • CPR certification.
  • Washington Special Education ESA certification
  • Ohio department of Education Fingerprints preferred or willing to obtain
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check

  • 20-30 Minute virtual interview directly with the school district
  • Offer is typically within 24-48 hours of the virtual interview
